Washington, Canada
Today we drove along the coast through all of Washington to the ferry in Port Angeles. We drove through the Olympia National Forest and Olympia National Park where we stopped to see the beach. When we went to the beach in Oregon, we were looking for sandollars but couldn't find any. Here, we found many fragments, Shelby and I found almost whole ones, and Joshua found one completely whole one. Like the other beach, there were many jellyfish fragments all over the beach as well as a few almost whole jellyfish (just without the tentacles). Oddly enough, the water at the beach today was also warmer, but the beach itself was less dramatic than the one in Oregon.
Who knew beach logs were that dangerous? |

There is a cave, most likely formed from erosion, under this tree. It's amazing--we were taking bets on how much longer the tree will survive. |
In Port Angeles, we grabbed lunch at Subway, then boarded the ferry for Canada. Our destination: Victoria. We've heard from many that it is a beautiful town. So far, I'd have to agree. We only walked from our hotel downtown to see the sights, eat dinner, and take some after dark photos (I'd read that the Parliament buildings are beautiful at night).

Tomorrow, we head to the Butchart Gardens and still have to decide what to do in the afternoon.
